18 of the best Met Gala looks in the last decade.

Today is the day where all of fashion gathers to celebrate creativity, as well as create memes and have intense Twitter discussions about interpretations of themes, everyone’s favourite day of the year - Met Gala! This year’s theme, “In America: An Antholoy of Fashion” has been discussed and dissected with careful consideration about America’s history of dressing and influences, with specific attention to the late 1800s and the boom of the Industrial Revolution throughout the early 1900s.

With all of that in mind, Perfect is taking a look back through the myriad of themes, feelings and inspiration throughout the last 10 years of the Met Gala, reminding ourselves of the joy this spectacle brings (especially looking back at Camp: Notes In Fashion!), and specifically designers and muses’ interpretations on the Red Carpet. From Lady Gaga’s 20-minute theatrical arrival (and changing 4 times) on the carpet in 2019, all the way to Rihanna’s massively opulent beaded train by Guo Pei all the way back in 2015, we have your throwback covered in the gallery below.
