#PerfectDiaries: Chiara Parravicini’s adoration for Mexico City, and the powerful women that inspire her.

Argentinian actress Chiara Parravicini is no stranger to Mexico City. Having moved permanently to CDMX, she is enamoured by the depths of historical significance the city has to offer, alongside the buzzing creativity of artists and artisans, all scattered throughout the city. Fresh off the heels of starring in the Amazon Prime series ‘The Head of Joaquín Murrieta’, Parravicini joined Dior for their Cruise 24 show in Mexico City, which celebrated the emblematic feminist women of Mexico City, the birth place of Frida Kahlo, through the metaphor of the butterfly, embellished across masculine silhouettes and tailoring reverted away from the gender expectations behind clothing.

Snapping her favourite moments in #PerfectDiaries, Parravicini brought Perfect along for the ride, from her arrival at the Anahualcalli Museum, all the way through the after-party, sharing her admiration for her idols in the face of Alicia Keys and Naomi Watts.

20:00: On our way to the first Dior event which was a cocktail held on Friday at the amazing Anahualcalli museum! There was so much traffic (as usual in Mexico City), so we did a little fun improvised photoshoot in the car with my photographer friend Caroline whom I had the best time with.

22:00: Anahuacalli is one of my favourite cultural spots in the city. It exhibits the archaeological collection of Diego Rivera. He was recruited by the government to save some of the identity of Mexico left underground! Fascinating to me, and the building is out of a dream.

19:00: The show was beautiful, it was held at San Idelfonso, the school Frida Kahlo attended as a young girl. Covered in murals by the most recognized Mexican artists such as Orozco and Riviera. The collection was mesmerizing and especially emotional as it was accompanied by the live music of a Mexican singer and feminist activist called Vivir Quintana. Dior helped raise the voice of women as victims of the patriarchy, this is an ongoing problem in the world and especially in Latin America.

21:00: The after party was fun! Surrounded by friends, typical Mexican food and beautiful decorations and plants. We danced a lot. The atmosphere was super relaxed and inspiring. There were so many guests I admire so much as an actress and singer! Alicia keys, Naomi Watts… powerful talented women!

22:00: I felt so good in my white outfit. I felt it really went with the context of the show. I felt like an Earth angel. :)

23:00: This was my first time attending a Dior show, so I was happy it got to be in the city I live in now! As an Argentinian in Mexico, I felt really proud to be a part of it all. This country inspires me so much.
