The new golden dawn of Golden Goose: Unveiling the cultural convergence of HAUS with Suki Waterhouse and Dr. Woo.

Golden Goose has officially entered a new, golden dawn. The iconic sneaker brand has stepped into a new chapter of its history with the creation of HAUS, the newest talent incubator that has brougt forward five different artist in the face of Fabio Novembre, Quannah Chasinghorse, Dr. Woo, SUNMI, and Suki Waterhouse, giving them the creative carte blanche to tap into the Venetian roots of the Italian brand, putting their stamp through their personal mediums of self-expression. Bringing a completely redefined vision across, CEO Silvio Campara brought it all back towards the very starting point of Golden Goose - the Venetian canals, which saw the emergence of the brand, nearly 24 years ago. “Venice is the oldest and largest cultural platform in the world and also to be able to have started from here, and do our thing across this incredible platform of art has been amazing. I believe that culture has transformed into the new luxury, and it can have an impact in many ways. With our brand, our vintage look is very important, and it also helps us seek knowledge of the future from the past.”

Presenting HAUS, the global cultural platform aiming to unleash the depths of creativity from multiple artistic fields, officially kicked off with an immersive event in Venice, where the very first HAUS artist in residence were able to transform their own phygital spaces across the event. Artist and photographer Suki Waterhouse is one of the very first creatives to get involved with Golden Goose’s new era, spending her time thinking about how people remember events and experiences. “One of the things that really stood out to me with Golden Goose is the cultural and physical impact of the brand, creating with a cultural thought and impact. I wanted to be able to capture all of these new friends and these incredible moments, being able to photograph them, but not just snap a picture, but actually have my own studio at this event, and for everyone to take away something with them at the end of the night, setting up different shoots.”

Tattoo artist Dr. Woo, whose work takes on numerous artistic mediums, was selected as a HAUS founding artist, draping the interior of the event space, and embellishing it to best reflect the Venetian history, and its outlook on modernity. “Having a relationship, and understanding the passion and the respect for artistry and creatives at Golden Goose made it exciting to work with. When the idea for this proposal this project to work together came I welcomed the chance to have another opportunity to share my vision and my story. This project is not on skin but yet it's it's still exuding that freedom and creative expression that it brings. It’s an organic kind of pairing, where I love working with the people involved. And I do love to challenge myself to tell the story through a different medium.”

Campara’s main goal is to continue engaging with culture, and immersive the Golden Goose following to explore new, unchartered horizons of creativity, by always bringing a mix of artists that can share bits of their knowledge, whilst also challenging themselves to reflect upon the legacy that the brand has had as one of the biggest luxury brands. The HAUS journey aims to continue across the world, and expand onto more artistic mediums, as the brand’s inaugural Venice celebration was a point of convergence between the changing of the guards, with Paris pointed out as the next stop on the HAUS journey later on in the year.
