ANDREADAMO brings Berghain to Milan for AW22.
For ANDREADAMO, Panorama Bar is the final destination of glorious expression. Presenting his physical runway debut on Wednesday, the collection was all about his new discovery of club culture – what it meant in the past, and what it means nowadays.
Starting out his collection with a classic black colour palette (mandatory clubwear for Berghain), there was immediate demand for attention through shaping – hourglass leather jackets, blended with knitwear panels at the waist for further layering, finished off with a confident knee-high square leather boot. In a confident but cosy twist, tactile cropped shearling-like jackets brought on with a matching cut-out flaring knit skirt, cementing that this is a clubgoer’s absolute dream – sexy and cool, with a touch of layers.
In the Y2K resurrection of style, the mid-riff has taken centre spot as the highlight of the body, exposed with lacing coming through, creating its own unique shape. ANDREADAMO played around with the idea of shapewear cuts all across the shoulders, arms and waist, in a perfect match between ease of movement and sensuality. Adamo’s intricate draping and shaping techniques do not go unnoticed, as beigi mini wrap dresses open up to reveal a knitted bustier and matching turtleneck, bringing out the finely detailed structure of texture and layering.
It is an exciting season for ANDREADAMO, as his runway debut created exciting buzz about how the club scene and music translates onto the runway, especially in a celebrity-filled era, where musicians continue to fully lead the way of trends.
