Bianca Saunders’ AW22 collection is all about geometric rebellion.

Geometry ruled the world of Bianca Saunders this season. The British designer’s debut at Paris Fashion Week was greeted with amassed excitement seeing 3D monochromatic geometric prints walking down the runway accompanied with pillowcase-like oversized totes.

Moulding the body into various silhouettes, Saunders altered garments by changing the shoulder seam closer to the neck, and wrapping techniques used to make coats look like pullovers, bringing a natural curve and flow that excites and complements the body in a redefined way. TV Static lookalike jackets turned out to be a pullover with a cut notched neckline, creating a wrapped effect and held by press studs.

Trousers follow the curve, shifting everything to one side and bringing a sense of timelessness with a silhouette that does not subject itself to a trend or time period – something the designer achieves perfectly with her immaculate sense of proportions. The collection brings a much desired change to menswear that opens up a world of experimentation with Saunders fearlessly changing perceptions by creating cool, fun and beautifully restructured fashion that is equal parts perennial and exciting.
