Met Gala 2022: These were the best looks at fashion’s biggest night out.

And Just Like That… The Met Gala saw another year of show-stopping looks, opulence, glamour (definitely, gilded!), bringing designers and muses together to celebrate “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, with this year’s red carpet theme being Gilded Glamour. So just like you, we all were curious how attendees will interpret the given theme… Will it be all pearls and gold-leaf trains with sequins, or lots of bustles and corsetry? Well, last night had a bit of everything all around, with co-chair of the evening, Blake Lively opening the carpet in an Atelier Versace burgundy embellished gown that unveiled into a red and blue iteration of the Statue of Liberty, while Kim Kardashian shut it down (quite literally) closing the carpet in the original Marilyn Monroe dress from John F. Kennedy’s birthday celebration in 1962, given with special permission and armed guards specifically for the Met Gala.

In other major moments, Riz Ahmed paid tribute to the hard-working immigrants that helped build America during the Industrial Revolution, alongside Billie Eilish stunning in a custom Gilded Age Gucci look that was created entirely from upcycled and dead-stock materials, and Cardi B’s gold Versace chain dress was crafted from an entire kilometer of the iconic gold monogram for the Italian fashion house.

Right here, Perfect has compiled the most notable, gilded and fashion-forward moments of the studded evening, in a gallery below:
