TOD’S PARTNER WITH CHIARA FERRAGNI ON A PROJECT ALL ABOUT THE EMOTION OF EMPATHY

Iconic Italian luxury house TOD’S has collaborated with Chiara Ferragni on a project that epitomises the values they both cherish: empathy and family. Alongside her mother, Marina and sisters, Valentina and Francesca, they perfectly represent the spirit of generational beauty and harmony, showcasing a closer look into the Italian spirit of togetherness. Through a series of intimate moments, TOD’S Generations aim to showcase the roots of the brand, deeply encapsulated from the heritage and history of the Italian family. The "Gommino" becomes the theme of the story, an element inseparably linked to the life of the characters, handed down from generation to generation. Set in a typical Italian villa on Lake Como, Chiara Ferragni and her family interact with objects that transcend fashion and age; the timeless yet contemporary Gommino and the Bow bag.

"The gommino is one of the icons of Italian taste, I remember it from my childhood and I like the idea that it is a timeless classic to be handed down from generation to generation", said Chiara Ferragni, who, alongside TOD’S, has decided to make a donation to Bambini dele Fate, a non-profit organisation that supports education for families with autistic children and other disabilities.

BELLA HADID BECOMES SWAROVSKI’S NEWEST BRAND AMBASSADOR

Supermodel Bella Hadid has joined Swarovski’s star-studded roster as their newest face and ambassador, as seen in the newest Swarovski Crystals campaign. Conceived by Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert and photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the portraits capture the transformative and versatile nature of Swarovski Crystals through diverse expressions of style. The attitude inspires a portrait series founded in a new generation’s informal and effortless relationship with bold crystal jewellery and its storied connotations of glamour. No longer reserved for ballroom opulence, Swarovski embodies joyful glamour.

“Bella Hadid sums up the individualistic and transformative attitude of a new global generation. She is a multifaceted character who evades the boxes of rules and conformity. She goes from sporty to glamorous while remaining the same girl – the same Bella – with confidence and authority. In that sense, she conveys the values of Swarovski to perfection. Today, crystals are a dynamic part of our everyday wardrobe: a way of accentuating your individual style in a way that can be as casual as it can be elaborate. Bella is the poster girl for this state of mind.” said Giovanna Englebert.

CELINE DEBUTS WINTER 2022 COLLECTION SHOT IN HOTEL DE LA MARINE AND INVALIDES IN PARIS

Celine and Hedi Slimane have unveiled their newest Winter 2022 collection at the newly restored “Salons D’Apparat” at Hôtel De La Marine, a historic landmark on the Place De La Concorde in Paris. Presented in the rooms of the Royal Collections once used to exhibit the best French art to foreign visitors, Celine has merged the past, present and future into a space, filled with history.

Initiated by Louis XIV in 1670, the second setting for Dans Paris is the Hôtel National des Invalides, located on the West Bank of Paris, in the 7th Arrondissement. Historically used for the reception of Head of States during official visits in Paris, the Celine show starts in the “Cour D’Honneur”, the main courtyard in the heart of the building. For his inaugural Celine show in 2018, Hedi Slimane erected an ephemeral architectural pavilion set on the ground of Hôtel des Invalides.

PUCCI DEBUTS FIRST COLLECTION UNDER CAMILLE MICELI’S ARTISTIC DIRECTION TITLED “LA GROTTA AZZURRA”

Debuting her first collection for the Italian house, Camille Miceli, Pucci’s newest artistic director, celebrates the spirit of Capri and the feeling of “The New Journey”. Pucci’s iconic elements are transformed with new energy in a mixture of patchwork or all-encompassing enlarged or downsized patterns. Geometrico, Girandole, Marmo, Iride, Fagiano, Rombi, Dalia or Pesci are thus transported back to the House’s roots, with a new design process that celebrates the imperfection of the original designs.

The new Pucci collection is designed for the timeless simplicity of a fleeting moment that echoes the world we now live in: Camille Miceli’s vision isn’t deployed across seasons, but instead, it endures in the immediacy of the "see now, buy now", using monthly "drops", available in stores and online.
