GAP LAUNCHES YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA COLLECTION

The first instalment of the creative collaboration between Kanye, Demna and Gap has arrived, merging the utalitarian spirit of Balenciaga with Yeezy’s futuristic vision of essential styles. The creative exploration includes tees, hoodies, jogging pants, outerwear and caps, reborn in wash, hue and silhouette, bringing both creatives’ avatar vision to life.

The digital campaign touches upon the exploration of video game characters and the metaverse merged within the real world dimension. The collection is available for pre-order now, with future drops coming out later in the year.

FENDACE TAKES OVER HARRODS FOR LAST WEEKEND

The biggest fashion collaboration of the year between Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Donatella Versace has trasnformed the store fronts of Harrods in London, taking over with the redefined iconic signatures of both brands, merged together. Crossing the ‘party lines’ of luxury conglomerates – inspired purely by friendship and mutual professional respect – the double signature of Fendace is a swap, with roles exchanged.

For the first time, Donatella Versace and Silvia Venturini Fendi have stepped away from their respective family houses to be inspired by the other’s vision, while Kim Jones – by now an old hand at inhabiting and reinventing other peoples’ houses – points the way. Versace by Fendi sees both Jones and Venturini Fendi branching out to create a mutual understanding of how the DNA of Fendi and spirit of Rome can influence the Versace core within Milan’s glamorous hustle.

The FENDACE pop-up, specially designed for Harrods, opened on the 12th May, signifying the only location in the UK where fashionistas can explore both collections under one roof. Entering its last weekend, the concept installation store will be only until the 30th May.

BOTTEGA VENETA TEASES THE KALIMERO, THE FIRST BAG UNDER MATTHIEU BLAZY’S CREATIVE DIRECTION

The Kalimero, Matthieu Blazy´s first bag for Bottega Veneta, was presented during the Winter 2022 show in Milan and will finally hit the stores in September this year. Made in a pleated intrecciato, a reinterpreted version of the traditional Bottega Veneta craftsmanship, is also made without any seams illuminating the artisanal brand´s heritage.

Being truly wearable for all genders the Kalimero comes in three different sizes and a mini bucket bag. Colours range from Cob, Barolo, Bone to Black and Fondante. The golden ring attached to the top of the bag allows the wearer to style it versatility either over the shoulder, as presented in the show, or as a oversized bucket bag tucked under the arm.
