Need To Know: A Trip to NYC with Coach and the Return to Sesame Street with Moschino

THE SWEET RETURN TO SESAME STREET WITH MOSCHINO AND KACEY MUSGRAVES

The longtime favourite of children and adults, Sesame Street makes an iconic return to our livelihoods and this time, it won’t be from our television screens. Reuniting Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird, Jeremy Scott’s Moschino steers his hotly anticipated collaborations into a new dimension with the House’s latest company.

Typifying the nostalgia of his youth watching the show, Scott offers an eclectic and colourful mix of designs from knitted cardigans, nylon accessories and embroidered character patches. Featuring another lifelong fan of the cult classic, singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves stars as the face of the collection.

The Moschino Sesame Street collection features 33 pieces of ready-to-wear and accessories. Exclusive items are available in China and the full collection will be available globally on May 25th at moschino.com, Moschino boutiques and department stores worldwide.

FENDI PARTNERS WITH VISUAL ARTIST SARAH COLEMAN FOR SUMMER 2021

Think of Fendi and you think of one thing: the House’s signature and renowned FF monogram. But change is in the air for the Italian designer, launching the FF Vertigo capsule collaboration.

In partnership with repurposing artist Sarah Coleman, established for her upcycled creations, the pair combined for SS21 to create a new interpretation of the logo, revisited through a psychedelic filter. Invigorating the spirit of the brand with vigour, the modified logo appears alongside the new Baguette 1997 bag, a re-edition of the brand’s signature accessory, featuring slim sides with an adjustable and flappable handle

LANVIN LAUNCHES A CAPSULE COLLECTION ON RE-IMAGINATION OF FASHION STARRING OFFSET

Based out of a Los Angeles studio, Gallery Dept. was founded to repurpose vintage garments and re-imagine fashion as a creative medium. Headed by the contemporary artist Josue Thomas, the ben centres around an attitude of rebellion in each garment.

Such rebellion meets tradition at the House of Lanvin with a fresh capsule collection featuring hoob bags and sneakers, portrayed through the lens of the Gallery Department.

Starring in the campaign, OFFSET takes centre stage shot in an abandoned house in the Hollywood Hills. “It’s about great energy and the small perfect details that make a seemingly normal piece of clothing or accessory so special,” shares the founder.

MCQUEEN MAINTAINS FOCUS ON THE SILHOUETTE FOR MENSWEAR AW21

Pertaining to the values of Alexander McQueen womenswear, bold volumes and clean lines continue to take precedence this season focusing on the body and its silhouette. Through saturated colours of blue and green, the House repositions classic garments such as the trench coat and crisp white shirts with embroidered swallow motifs and signature skulls.

Double breasted tailored coats with kimono sleeves feature alongside cropped bomber jackets and chunky rib knits. McQueen’s playful attitude continues to bring promise for another season of vivacious looks and vibrancy from papercut prints to stonewash denim.
