More Joy, Sex and Special Surprises Coming Right Up.
In 2019, seven years after Christopher Kane’s namesake brand was founded, the Central Saint Martin’s graduate introduced ‘More Joy’, the brand’s playful counterpart. ‘As designers, we know the things we surround ourselves with have a significant impact on our lives,’ explain Christopher and Tammy Kane. ‘As people, we’ve learned positivity becomes a state of mind with daily affirmations. More Joy, Sex and Special are our brand placards that promote the realisation of higher ideals.’
As the world returns to its former state of vitality, More Joy has released a myriad of product drops and a 4 week Selfridges pop-up just in the nick of time, kicking it off with an SS21 collection.
The collection features bountiful Breton pieces, including masks, t-shirts, bikinis, long-sleeved tops and kaftans, as well as bum bags, hoodies, sweatshirts, shorts, slides, swimming trunks and swimsuits in a mixture of block grey, black and red - More Joy’s signature colour palette. And if that wasn’t enough, the brand has also collaborated with eyewear brand Le Specs, reworking two classic Le Specs silhouettes reworked with the signature More Joy colour ways.
Now that shopping isn’t bound to the realms of the internet, More Joy will be taking over the Atrium Space 2 at Selfridges from the 7th June for a 4-week pop up bonanza, showcasing exclusive More Joy products. The pop up will also be available at Selfridges locations in Manchester (Exchange and Trafford) and Birmingham.
