TOMMY HILFIGER AND TIMBERLAND REMIX THEIR ARCHIVES AS A TRIBUTE TO THE ‘90S

All-American brand Tommy Hilfiger has joined forces with the staple outdoors aesthetic of Timberland to create a 17-piece hybrid capsule. Clashing two fashion forces who met the streets in the ‘90s, the vibrant collection pays homage to the pre-millenum hip-hop scene. ‘Culture shaped our brands, and in turn we shaped the fashion landscape of the time,’ says Tommy Hilfiger. ‘We’ve truly brought back the icons of our past for a capsule that’s remixed for today.’

An important message of sustainability is neatly wrapped into the collection with carefully selected pieces from the archives adding a sense of re-purposing and up-cycling. With a versatile range of items in both Hilfiger and Timberland heritage colour palettes, this brand blending project is one of multi-functional pieces such as the zip-off carpenter trousers and the two-in-one reversible varsity jacket, as well as remixed ‘90s accessories and a fresh Hilfiger spin on the Timberland 6-inch boots.

The Tommy X Timberland Drop 1 campaign enhances the capsule’s creative energy of authenticity and style as it captures and celebrates the multi-cultural spirit of New York City. Shot by photographer and artist Jack Greer, the images set the stage for the reveal of Drop 2 in November.

ARTIST BLUE THE GREAT JOINS MICHAEL B. JORDAN TO GIVE COACH A DINO-MUMMY TWIST

Coach has teamed up with their men’s ambassador Michael B. Jordan to create their latest capsule collection titled ‘Blue the Great: The Art of Collaboration’ in partnership with Jordan’s friend, LA-based artist Blue the Great. The concept behind this cheerful collection is to highlight the importance of partnership and friends, representing a larger creative community of art and collaboration - with Coach’s heritage as the perfect canvas to present Jordan and Blue’s creative bond.

The collaboration takes shape as an inclusive collection that finds a lively middle ground between heritage craftmanship and streetwear. From ready-to-wear to footwear to accessories, this well-rounded capsule features Coach’s iconic codes updated with Blue’s trademark dino-mummy art. ‘It’s crazy and pretty exciting to be able put my spin on such an iconic brand like Coach,’ he says, 'whenever art and fashion mix, exciting things can happen.’

Portraits of Michael B. Jordan, Blue The Great and friends all star in the collaboration’s bright art-packed campaign shot by photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis. Set in an ‘open door’ gallery, the group visibly embody the creative, authentic and intrinsically optimistic energy of the collection in classic Coach storytelling essence.

MORE JOY STREET-CAST 19 MODELS TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN LOOK FOR WINTER ‘21

Christopher Kane’s latest More Joy Winter ’21 campaign is centered around the analog portraits of 19 street-cast models from in and around London. Captured by photographer Sarah Stedeford, each model was encouraged to pick a piece from the collection to infiltrate their own wardrobe, showcasing how the item of optimism complements their own style. Later, cinematographer Ebba Hult filmed each model come co-stylist as they share their thoughts on what brings them joy, which will be revealed on the More Joy social media channels over the coming weeks.

With bold feel-good slogans like ‘More Joy’, ‘Sex’ and ‘Special’, the uplifting and empowering phrases have become the Christopher Kane mantra. An inevitable dose of positivity, the campaign exudes precisely what the designer set out achieve when creating the graphic merch: a feeling of hope, togetherness, and appreciation of life’s pleasures. This group of casually-sourced individuals seem to prove just that by simply adding a bit more joy into each of their unique outfits.
