Bianca Saunders is moulding a new exterior for SS23.

Hard Food: a starchy accompaniment to the typical Jamaican meal, known for its tough exterior, and the total opposite feeling of softness when consumed prepared. Much like the duality of current affairs in ]society, Bianca Saunders played upon the rich layers of a hard exterior, whilst unravelling the vulnerability within softness on the inside of all of us.

Crafting layered silhouettes, a tough full denim look cut with an elongated sleeve for added fluidity, or a crimson red silk look gathered at the front closures for a structural exterior, Saunders is a pro at bringing two opposites together in elements that feel fresh, different and defined. Gathered monochromatic tailoring is nipped at the front for extra flow with shrunk lapels and extra voluminous beige totes are slung on the side for extra pizzazz. The designer has mastered her intrinsic eye of proportion and complex pattern-cutting, and such is blindingly obvious this season - the 3D properties of each look served a different feeling from each angle, making you focus on the myriad of detail inside and out.

By bringing the classic notions of menswear, and playing upon the dimensions of each and every garment, Bianca Saunders ushers in a fresh confirmation that flow has reached each single inch of menswear, and the future of it can be redefined without social expectations.
